Every year during the month of April, we raise funds to support those affected by fire who have lost everything including house hold items as well as toys.
Fire Wise
Month
August is a big month for us. We undertake fire wise activities to raise awareness of the importance of being fire wise. This month includes Wise Up Week and many other activities.
The Fire Foundation is Australia’s only national charity organisation dedicated to the support of fire and burns victims. We provide emergency assistance packages to reduce the recovery time for those affected. Our assistance includes emergency and temporary accommodation, emergency funds, basic essentials such as food, food vouchers and clothing, transportation, medical and health items, furniture and household goods. We also provide a support service, counselling and relevant referrals. We assist fire and burns victims during the recovery process providing acknowledgment, support (mentally, emotionally and financially), guidance and advice however we can. We also play a key role in Australia advocating for appropriate legislation to better protect Australian homes, workplaces and public facilities from the risks of fire and burns and actively promote fire safety and prevention awareness across the community. Our role is vital and your support is critical to our ability to deliver our services.
